Books and Libraries in the Digital Age

MIT World has a tremendous collection of academic talks and panel discussions covering a broad range of topics.

I just watched Ethan Zuckerman give a talk on the dangers of homophily (love of the same), and notes that librarians are among the people most likely to quickly understand why homophily is a problem. (Technologies and Emerging Democracies: Building a Better Gatekeeper.)

Browsing around the site I noticed they also have this talk, Books and Libraries in the Digital Age, by Robert Darnton (historian and director of the Harvard library system).
