Some thank yous are in order before I announce the details of the next brown bag. First I want to thank Professor Kiersty Cox for joining us last Wednesday and sharing her tips on job hunting. Thank you!
I’d also like to thank Professor Kwon who initially sent out the email to the faculty to explain what we’re doing with the brown bags. Thank you!
I also want to thank all the students who have attended and made this event such a success. I know that sometimes it’s hard to find time in your schedule in the middle of the week to get to campus, so I want to thank all of you for taking the time to support this student organization initiative. Thanks!
This Wednesday’s brown bag will return to our regularly-scheduled time of 1-2pm and we’ll be hosting Carolyn Edds. Carolyn is a research librarian at the St. Petersburg Times. Along with her duties ensuring the facts presented in the paper are accurate and verifiable,
Carolyn also contributes to the popular PolitiFacts column which keeps tabs on statements by politicians to determine if the statement is true, or if the politician needs to be notified that his or her pants are on fire (whoops! It turns out that the Internet can sometimes be misleading).
Please join us in CIS 2020 to meet with Ms. Edds. Bring your questions and your lunch!
